White Swiss Shepherd Dog
History
The White Swiss Shepherd Is a Direct Descendant German
Shepherd, and, in fact, before both the first and second were classified as one
breed. At the end of the 19th century, when the Breed of German Shepherd was
formed, all colors, including white, were adopted for standardization. It is
now believed that the white sheepdog and the white Swiss Shepherd, as well as
the German, are three different breeds, although they have the same origin.
The process of separation began after 1920 when the German
Shepherd breed, with white hair color, was culled to participate in dog shows.
By the way, it is interesting to know, the first officially registered German
Shepherd named Horand von Grafrat had a classic color, although the
great-great-grandfather of this dog on the maternal line was pure white. After
1970, there were breeders who engaged in the purposeful breeding of white
sheepdogs, and, a large role in this was played by American enthusiasts.
Paradoxically, at first, some individuals born in the U.S.
were registered in Switzerland - obviously to emphasize ancestral roots.
Although, at home, they were registered as a subspecies of German Shepherds, and
the first association of the breed of white sheepdogs appeared in America, and
not in their homeland, which again is paradoxical. In Switzerland, these dogs,
as a separate breed called the white Swiss Shepherd, were registered and
recognized officially only in 1991. After Switzerland, in 1992 the breed was
recognized by Holland and other European countries.

breed is also better to introduce at an early age. The white Swiss Shepherd
treats children well, being a good nanny and a reliable protector.

the legendary intelligence and ingenuity of these dogs, as well as their soul
and kindness with which they perceive their family. They are used as guard
dogs, as guide dogs, just as a companion for the whole family - you can say, in
a sense, the Shepherd is the embodiment of the best qualities of the dog. And it
is up to you to develop them.

with other people and animals. Gradually, you can enter basic commands into the
classes.
If you need special skills, you can wait until the age of
one year. Complex commands, skills to help people with special needs, attack
skills, or master protection white Swiss Shepherd assimilates well and quickly,
getting pleasure from the learning process. Complex specialized skills are
usually trained by trainers.
